What to expect at your DermaPen appointment
The skin is cleaned and sterilised. To ensure the perfect comfort for you, the skin will easily be numbed. Therefore the treatment is considered painless. The tip will glide over your skin creating stimulating channels, post this we apply a soothing face mask that will leave your skin feeling fantastic, radiant and completely hydrated. The treatment usually takes around 1.5 hours in total.
Post treatment care
Immediately after your treatment you will look as though you have moderate sunburn and your skin may feel warm and tight. This subsides within 24 hours.
To calm visible redness, we recommend topical healing post treatment serums & creams + hyaluronic acid (ASAP & Aspect Dr) to help hydrate the skin. As us about our treatment programs that include post treatment kits!
ASAP Moisturising Daily Defence Zinc based sun protection or Sunforgettable Zinc powder, is also a must to protect your skin post-treatment.
DermaPen results
You will see results instantly. Even day 1 & 2 you will have a clearer complexion. Continuing further, collagen will grow from around the 6 week mark. Your skin will continue to improve over 6-12mths.
For deeper lines, scarring or stretch marks, additional treatments approximately 6wks apart will be necessary.
